My Road to $10,000 a Month (Week 10)
The second week of July was my worst week so far. I don’t know my earnings have dropped this much, but things aren’t looking good.
Here’s the breakdown:
|Source of Income||Amount Earned ($)|
JULY 2020 WEEK 10 (8 July to 15 July)
I was pretty desperate to make some money this week. As such I took a few projects that didn’t pay very well. It made me feel like I wasn’t worth much as a graphic designer, when I could be doing much more.
A turning point came when I met up with my friend and business owner last week. After picking his brain, I realized that I have enough skills and knowledge to charge much higher than what I’m doing now. As such, I’m looking to pivot my services to cater to higher end clients who are willing to pay more for quality work.
My first order of business is to improve the appearance and functionality of my portfolio site. Currently I’m adding new content and more professional portfolio pieces. It will take some time to set everything up, but I believe the reward will be worth the effort.
That concludes the tenth week of my road to $10,000 a month as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. It’s unlikely that I’ll able to earn a lot this month, but now I have a general idea of what I need to do from here on.
